Pourpa needed a new printer for school this year. So I gave him my inexpensive Canon PIXMA 1600 that I had bought for $50 awhile back. To replace the color printer, I also bought another $50 printer at Fry’s, an Epson Stylus R320 photo printer. It’s my first foray into Epson printing. Someday I hope to get this one if I ever start printing high-quality photos. But for now, this refurbished one is just fine for me.

Last week I upgraded this site to WordPress 2.0.4. I forgot to mention that earlier. Thanks to Mark, I did the backup and upgrade via SSH in about 3 seconds.

I’m registered. At the end of September I am attending this. The conference theme and title were inspired by this book. So I am going to try to read all of it before the conference starts. It’s pretty serious reading, so in order to better understand it, I will try to write about various sections of my reading and reflect on them here.

It’s pretty cool that Josephine and I attend #10 and I listen to #42 Monday through Friday.

My new lens arrived today. I picked it up at Will Call from UPS tonight. I can’t shoot pictures tonight, but I will definitely be bringing it with me on Saturday for our adventure to Old Town.

I uploaded the rest of the Miramar Air Show 2005 pictures I took. I’m not going to finish processing them in Photoshop, but rather leave them as is. Many of the sky shots have spots in the sky because my sensor was dirty and only recently cleaned. My reason for not finishing the Miramr photos: There is too much photo work to be done. I still have not worked on the photos and video footage from my birthday party. And now I have all the shots that I took from our anniversary.

I installed two early birthday gifts onto my PowerBook yesterday, iLife ‘06 and Photoshop CS2. Both arrived in yesterday’s mail as gifts from Josephine and my parents.

I’m trying to install a I’ve installed the WordPress Email Notification Plugin. but it’s not working as I expected. I suspect there is a mismatch between the database prefix the plugin is using and the one that this blog actually uses. So I’ve requested With some assistance from the plugin author to install and configure it for me, it is now working. Hopefully, it will be It was relatively cheap and quick to get their help.

I’ll be I’m glad when this plugin starts is now working right. I’d like email notification mainly for Josephine and Pourpa, two people whom I’d like to see be reading this more regularly other than when I manually email them links.
